If you've enrolled in the AI Deterrence Camera Add-On, either during a new system purchase or through the My Account section, follow these steps to create an AI Deterrence Rule:
On mobile, open the Frontpoint app.
On the web, go to myfrontpoint.com.
Navigate to Recording Rules
In the app, tap “Video,” then tap the gear icon for settings.
On the website, click “Video” in the navigation menu.
Create a New Rule
Tap or click “Recording Rules.”
Select “Add” (mobile) or “Add New Rule” (web).
Choose “Video Analytics” when prompted.
Choose the Camera
Select the specific video camera for the AI Deterrence feature.
Set the Rule Type
Under "Select Type," choose either Ground Zone or Tripwire based on how you want to trigger detections.
Tap or click “Next.”
Camera Scene Setup
Choose Indoors or Outdoors, then tap or click “Next.”
Name the Rule
Give your rule a clear, descriptive name.
Create Your Detection Zone
Draw your Tripwire or define your Ground Zone based on your earlier selection.
Set Actions and Times
Configure the Recording Rule Actions and specify when they should apply (e.g., specific days or time ranges).
Toggle on AI Deterrence
Adjust the AI Deterrence Message Volume using the slider. Sliding all the way to the right enables Boost Audio, which increases the maximum audio range but may distort clarity. This slider is shared with Two-Way Audio volume; the boost option only applies to AI Deterrence. The volume slider is disabled when the boost is active, so you must disable it to lower the audio volume.
Select Message Type to change the spoken message (default is deterrence).
Choose Options to have the AI describe the scene around the detected person (e.g., “next to bush,” “blue shirt”).
Select Voice Type to choose different voices.
Choose Custom Response and enter a free-form message, using punctuation and spacing for clarity.
Select your desired voice type from the dropdown.
