If you've already enrolled in the AI Deterrence Camera Add-On (either during a new system purchase or through the My Account section of your account) follow these steps:
On mobile, open the Frontpoint app.
On web, go to myfrontpoint.com.
Navigate to Recording Rules
In the app, tap “Video”, then tap the gear icon to access settings.
On the website, click “Video” in the navigation menu.
Create a New Rule
Tap or click “Recording Rules.”
Select “Add” (mobile) or “Add New Rule” (web).
Choose “Video Analytics” when prompted.
Choose the Camera
Select the specific video camera where you'd like to apply the AI Deterrence feature.
Set the Rule Type
Under "Select Type," choose either Ground Zone or Tripwire, depending on how you'd like to trigger detections.
Tap or click “Next.”
Camera Scene Setup
Choose Indoors or Outdoors, then tap or click “Next.”
Name the Rule
Give your rule a clear, descriptive name.
Create Your Detection Zone
Draw your Tripwire or define your Ground Zone depending on your earlier selection.
Set Actions and Times
Configure the Recording Rule Actions and when they should apply (e.g., specific days or time ranges).
Enable and Customize AI Deterrence
Toggle on AI Deterrence Alerts if you're on the website.
In both versions, adjust the AI Deterrence Message Volume using the slider.
Boost Audio is enabled when the slider is moved all the way to the right. This enhances range but may affect audio clarity.
Note: The slider shares settings with Two-Way Audio, but Boost Audio applies only to AI Deterrence.
When Boost is on, the slider is locked—disable Boost to adjust volume down.
Choose Your AI Deterrence Preferences
Message Type – Select the spoken message (default is deterrence).
Options – Choose whether the AI describes the scene (e.g., “next to bush,” “blue shirt”).
Voice Type – Pick from available voice options.
Finalize and Save
Once everything is set to your preference, tap or click “Save” to activate the rule.
By following these steps, you'll successfully set up AI Deterrence for any compatible camera on your Frontpoint system.
