Frontpoint + Android Auto


Stay connected to your Frontpoint system right from your car’s display with Android Auto. Safely control your home, run daily routines, and get important security alerts—all while keeping your focus on the road.

What You Can Do


Scenes: Trigger Home, Away, or your custom Scenes with a tap

Garage Control: Open/close supported garage doors (except MyQ devices)

Critical Alerts: View important notifications directly on your display

What You Need


  • A compatible car or stereo system - vehicles from 2016 onwards are likely to support it.

  • An Android phone with Android Auto support

  • The Frontpoint mobile app (version 5.8 or later)

How to Set Up


  1. Log in to the Frontpoint app.

  2. Connect your Android phone to your car via Bluetooth or USB.

    • Car Compatibility: Not all vehicles support wireless Android Auto; you may need a wired connection. Check your car's manual to confirm if wireless connection is supported.

  3. Tap the Frontpoint icon on your Android Auto screen.

Managing Settings


  • From Car Display: Tap settings (car must be parked).

  • From App: Go to Menu > App Settings > Android Auto to add, remove, or reorder Scenes.

Critical Alert Settings


To override Do Not Disturb mode on an Android device:

  1. Log in to the Frontpoint app.

  2. Tap More.

  3. Tap Notifications.

  4. Tap Override Do Not Disturb.

FAQs


Can I use Android Auto with more than one system?
Yes. Switch systems in the Frontpoint app—your car display will update automatically.

Do all alerts appear in Android Auto?
No. Only Critical Alerts are shown. Be sure they’re enabled on your Android phone.
