How do I know my Motion Sensor is working?
You can perform a Walk Test to ensure your Motion Sensor is working with the following steps:
Release the front of the sensor from the rear cover by pressing the button on the top of the sensor.
Remove the battery for 10 seconds and re-insert the battery. The red LED will begin to flash indicating that the motion sensor is warming up.
Re-attach the front of the sensor onto the rear case.
Leave the sensor area and wait for the red light to turn off (about 45 seconds). The Motion Sensor is now ready to perform the walk test.
Walk across the coverage area to test. When the red light illuminates, the sensor is detecting your motion.
Once the LED goes out, the sensor is ready to detect motion again. The sensor will remain in walk test mode for 15 minutes.
NOTE: The red LED light does not come on during normal everyday use, regardless if the sensor detects activity or not. It will only be visible when testing the sensor to conserve battery power.
