How does the Carbon Monoxide Sensor detect the presence of carbon monoxide?

The Carbon Monoxide Sensor monitors the levels of carbon monoxide gas and gives early warning when potentially dangerous levels exist. If the sensor detects carbon monoxide, an alarm is transmitted to the control panel and the sensor will also trigger an alarm.
