Functionality
The Garage Door Sensor detects when the garage door is opened by sensing the tilting of the sensor itself. It is a great option for those who need monitoring for their garages.

Tamper:
The tamper detector is a button located on the circuit board. It gets depressed by the protrusion on the inside of the opposite cover. When tampering, the spring should never be detached or removed from the sensor.
How to Tamper: Push down on the flat portion of the top side of the sensor. Pull the front cover of the sensor away from the base of the sensor to separate the cover.
Notes:
This sensor looks like the Gen 2 LRDW Sensor. The garage door sensor has printed on the circuit board "Tilt". The LRDW sensor's circuit board does not have this.
On 5/26/2022 a new version of the GDS was released. It is the same SKU and physically looks exactly the same as the previous sensor but has improved internal mechanics that lead to a faster status update. No troubleshooting has changed.
Mounting
Make sure the garage door is closed and the surface is clean and dry.
Position the sensor on the top of the inside of the garage door with the arrow in the sensor pointing up.
Once you've removed the wax backing from the adhesive, press the sensor firmly against the door for 30 seconds.
