Glass Break Sensor

Here, you'll find support for your Glass Break Sensor.

Overview

The Frontpoint Glass Break Sensor adds a critical layer of protection to your home by detecting the sound of breaking glass within a specific range. It’s designed to help protect windows and glass doors—areas that may not be covered by standard entry sensors alone.

Ideal for rooms with large windows, sliding glass doors, or multiple panes of glass, this sensor listens for the unique acoustic pattern of shattering glass and responds instantly if a break is detected.

What it does

The Glass Break Sensor continuously monitors for the specific frequency and sound profile of breaking glass. When a break is detected, it immediately signals your Frontpoint system to trigger an alert or alarm, depending on your settings.

This allows you to catch forced entry attempts through windows or glass doors that wouldn’t trigger a standard door/window sensor.

Key benefits

  • Detects the distinct sound of glass breaking within range

  • Protects large open areas and rooms with multiple windows

  • Responds instantly to potential break-ins, even if no contact sensor is triggered

  • Mounts easily to walls or ceilings for wide coverage

  • Fully wireless and battery-powered for flexible placement

Where to use it

Glass Break Sensors are best placed in living rooms, sunrooms, basements, or near sliding doors—anywhere intruders might try to gain entry through a window. One sensor can cover multiple panes of glass in a single room, depending on size and layout.

It works alongside your existing sensors to provide more complete coverage, especially in areas where standard entry sensors might not be practical.

The Frontpoint Glass Break Sensor gives you added peace of mind by covering break-in methods that might otherwise go undetected—offering smarter, more complete home security.
