How does the Long Range Door and Window sensor tell if the door or window is open or closed?
Long Range Door and Window Sensors are made of two parts: a magnet (smaller piece) and a transmitter (larger piece). The sensor works by transmitting an open signal whenever the two pieces are separated by at least ¾ inch and transmitting a closed signal whenever they are brought within ¾ inch.
