How do I get a notification when a new PIN code is manually created for my Smart Door Lock?​

A notification can be sent each time a new PIN code is manually created at your Smart Door Lock, ensuring you're kept aware of all the PIN codes created for your Smart Door Lock.

To set up the notification using either the Frontpoint app or website, follow the steps below:

How to set up a new PIN notification on the Frontpoint app:

  1. Log into the Frontpoint app

  2. Tap Notifications in the navigation menu.

  3. Tap the gear icon in the top right corner.

  4. Locate "System Actions to watch" in the list of notifications and tap it to edit.

     
    If you're unable find it, tap the green + button and create the "System Actions to watch" notification.

  5. Scroll down until you locate the "Other" section of notification types.

  6. Tap the checkbox next to "Somebody manually programmed a new user code on any of my locks".

  7. If you'd also like to receive a notification the first time the new PIN code is used, tap the checkbox next to "Somebody unlocked my door with a new user code for the first time" as well.

  8. Scroll down and ensure "During this timeframe" is set to "Anytime"

  9. Set Recipients as you please; we would advise an email and Push device.

  10. Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap Save.

How to set up a new PIN notification on MyFrontpoint.com:

  1. Log into your account on Myfrontpoint.com

  2. Click Notifications, in the left-hand menu.

  3. Scroll down your list of notifications until you locate 4. System Actions to watch click Edit to edit.

     
    If you're unable find it, click the "+ New Notification" button and create the "System Actions to watch" notification.

  4. Scroll down until you locate the "Other" section of notification types.

  5. Click the checkbox next to "Somebody manually programmed a new user code on any of my locks".

  6. If you'd also like to receive a notification the first time the new PIN code is used, click the checkbox next to "Somebody unlocked my door with a new user code for the first time" as well.

  7. Scroll down and ensure "During this timeframe" is set to Anytime

  8. Set Recipients as you please; we would advise an email and Push device.

  9. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save.
