With Smart Arming, never again forget to arm your system before bed or forget to disarm the system when you wake up. Smart Arming can be triggered to arm or disarm at specific times or when a selected sensor(s) detects activity. Setting up this feature is a smart step to ensure that your system is secure every night, while also helping to prevent false alarms in the morning.

A few of our customers' favorite ways to use Smart Arming include...

• Setting up the system to Auto-Arm Stay before bedtime so you can sleep with a calm mind

• Simplifying your morning routine by setting the system to Auto-Disarm when your hallway motion sensor is activated

• Setting the system to Auto-Arm Stay when no activity is detected after 10 pm based on the sensors of your choosing

• Preventing false alarms by setting the system to auto-disarm when kids wake up in the morning and activate the motion sensor

When configured, Smart Arming always Arm Stays your system and will not activate if the system is already in Arm Away. When configuring auto-disarming, you can only choose from motion sensors to ensure the movement is coming from inside the house- and not an intruder.

Set up Smart Arming with the Frontpoint app

1. Log into the Frontpoint app.

2. Tap Security System on the homepage of the app.
   

3. Tap Smart Arming.
   

   • Tap Wake Up to set up automatic scheduled Disarm.
     

     • Select the specific time or timeframe for the system to Disarm.
       

• Tap included sensors to choose sensors that will detect activity to disarm the system.
  

• Tap Save to save your "Wake Up" Smart Arming settings.

• Tap Goodnight to set up automatic scheduled Arm Stay.
  

• Select the specific time or timeframe for the system to Arm Stay.
  

• Tap included sensors to choose sensors that will be used to detect when no activity has occurred to Arm Stay the system.
  

• Tap Save to save your "Goodnight" Smart Arming settings.

Set up Smart Arming on MyFrontpoint.com

1. Log into your account on MyFrontpoint.com.

2. Click Automation in the left hand menu.
   

3. Click Smart Arming in the menu options at the top of the page.
   

   • Click the pencil icon in the "Wake Up" menu to set up automatic scheduled Disarm.
     

     • • • Select the specific time or timeframe for the system to Disarm.
           

• Select sensors in the included sensors section to choose sensors that will detect activity to disarm the system.
  

• Click Save to save your "Wake Up" Smart Arming settings.

• Click the pencil icon in the "Goodnight" menu to set up automatic scheduled Arm Stay

  • Select the specific time or timeframe for the system to Arm Stay.
    

    • Select sensors in the included sensors section to choose sensors that will be used to detect when no activity has occurred to Arm Stay the system.
      

    • Click Save to save your "Goodnight" Smart Arming settings.

Having trouble?

If you cannot see Smart Arming on your account, please make sure your account meets the following requirements:

• iOS Frontpoint app version 4.21.14+

• Android Frontpoint app version 4.21.12+

• To manage the Smart Arming rules, your login must have Master Control, Full Control, or Custom with "Remote Arming" selected. ​

• If your panel is a Simon XT panel with firmware version below 193a, sensor-based disarm will be the only available option.
