How to Use AI Search

Use numbered headings instead of an ordered list. That prevents Mavenoid from changing the numbers when paragraphs or examples interrupt the list.

AI Search lets you search both your system activity and saved video clips using simple, everyday language.

Before searching your activity, AI Activity Filters must be enabled.

1. Enable AI Activity Filters

In the Frontpoint mobile app:

  • Select More.

  • Select AI Activity Filters.

  • Turn on Enable AI Activity Filtering.

On MyFrontpoint.com:

  • Select AI Activity Filters.

  • Turn on Enable AI Activity Filtering.

2. Search Your Activity

  • Open the Frontpoint mobile app.

  • Select Activity.

  • Select Ask About Activity.

  • Enter a question about activity at your property.

Examples:

  • “Who unlocked the front door?”

  • “When was my system last armed?”

  • “Was a package delivered today?”

  • “Show me all front door activity from this weekend.”

3. Review Your Results

  • View activity and events that match your search.

  • Results are shown with the most recent activity first.

  • Matching video clips may also appear under Top Video Results when searching for visual details.

4. Save an Activity Quick Filter

In the Frontpoint mobile app:

  • Select Activity.

  • Select + Quick Filter.

  • Enter your search criteria.

  • Select Save Filter.

Saved Quick Filters appear at the top of the Activity timeline for faster access to frequently used searches.

Questions are limited to 200 characters. Each search is treated separately, so previous questions are not remembered.

Activity searching is currently available in the Frontpoint mobile app.

1. Open Video Search

  • Open the Frontpoint app or log in to MyFrontpoint.com.

  • Go to Video.

  • Select Saved.

  • Select Search Video Clips.

2. Enter Your Search

  • Type what you are looking for using simple, everyday language.

  • Search for people, vehicles, animals, packages, and visual details such as clothing or colors.

  • In the Frontpoint mobile app, you can also use voice search.

Examples:

  • “Package delivery yesterday”

  • “Person at the front door”

  • “Man in a blue jacket”

  • “Car in the driveway at night”

3. Review Your Results

  • Browse the saved video clips that most closely match your search.

4. Filter or Sort Your Results

  • Filter results by date range or camera.

  • Sort results by Most Relevant or Most Recent.

By default, video search includes saved clip thumbnails from the previous 30 days. Only clips recorded after video search was activated can appear in search results.
