To add the Floodlight Camera to your Frontpoint system, follow the steps below:
Power on the Indoor Camera:
Connect the camera’s AC power adapter and plug it into a non-switched outlet.
Plug the Power Adapter into an indoor outlet near your router.
You will move and mount the camera after the App Setup is complete.
Open the Frontpoint app on your cell phone, tap “Keep me Logged In”, and proceed to log in.
Tap on the navigation menu.
Select “Add Device”
Select “Video Camera”
Select the image of the Indoor Camera V516
Follow the on-screen instructions until you reach “Configure Device”. These steps include naming the camera, connecting your phone to the ADC-V516(XX:XX:XX) Wi-Fi network, and then connecting your camera to your home Wi-Fi network.
During the setup, you will be asked to connect to a temporary network that resembles ADC-V516 (XX:XX:XX). The Xs are representative of the last six digits of the camera’s MAC address, found on the back of the camera body.
After connecting to the network that resembles ADC-V516 (XX:XX:XX), you may be directed to a “Wi-Fi Status” page dependent on your phone.
Tap “Cancel” and select “use without internet” to remain connected to the temporary network. Return to the Frontpoint app to finish the setup.
Tap the three dots in the top right corner and select “Use this network as is” to remain connected to the temporary network. Return to the Frontpoint app to finish the setup.
When the Status LED turns solid green, the camera is successfully connected to your Wi-Fi.
Once you are prompted to “Configure Device” Click next and you will be directed to place the camera. Move the camera to your desired location and request signal strength. Recommended signal strength is above 70%. Adjust location closer to router if needed and then move on to Placement. Do not exit from this screen (if possible) so you can easily resume after your device has been placed or mounted in its final location.
Before You Begin, choose a final location for the camera that is within 9.5 feet of a power outlet and has a Wi-Fi signal strength of at least 70%.
The camera can be placed on any flat surface or mounted using the instructions below.
Mark the screw holes
Use a stud finder if needed to locate a stud for secure mounting.
Hold the mounting bracket against the wall.
Use a pencil to mark where the screws will go.
Drill and insert wall anchors
Drill into the marked spots using a 3/16" (5 mm) drill bit.
Insert the provided wall anchors into the holes.
Attach the mounting bracket
Secure the bracket to the wall using the provided screws.
If desired, use a level to check that the bracket is straight.
Mount the camera
Attach the camera to the bracket by pushing it onto the base and sliding it down until you hear a click.
Plug it in
Connect the power adapter to the camera.
Plug the adapter into a nearby outlet within The 9.5 feet.
Adjust Camera Angle
Use the friction ball joint and hinge joint to set the desired camera angle.
