The step-by-step guide below will guide you through the process of setting up the Indoor Camera using WPS.
Check your router for a button that says WPS. If your router has a button with this acronym or an image that looks like one of the images below, you may proceed to the next step.
If your router doesn’t have this feature, please contact your network service provider for your Wi-Fi name and password.
Plug the Indoor Camera into an outlet within 10 feet (or 4 physical steps) from the router and wait for the LED to change from blinking red to blinking white.
Press and hold the button on the back of the back of the Indoor Camera until the LED starts blinking blue.
Activate WPS mode on your router, generally done by holding down the WPS button. Please consult your router’s user guide for more information if needed.
The Indoor Camera will connect to the Wi-Fi network. The camera's LED will become solid green when the internet connection is successful.
Log into the Frontpoint app on your mobile phone and press “Keep me Logged In” until you complete the setup.
1.
Tap the navigation menu (☰)
2.
Select "Add Device"
3.
Select "Video Camera"
Tap “Enter MAC Address” at the bottom of the page and manually enter the Indoor Camera's MAC address found on the bottom of the camera.
Tap "Install" and enter a name for your Indoor Camera
When complete, you will see the screen below.
When firmware updates are available, your Indoor Camera will update automatically but it may take an additional 15 minutes to complete setup. (The progress bar will not move along steadily- each update takes a variable amount of time.)
If desired, move the Indoor Camera to your preferred location and install it with the included hardware.
Use an outlet that is not controlled by a switch to avoid being turned ON/OFF.
Please note that the strength of a connection fluctuates and you may not see a connection issue immediately. If you later experience an issue, simply move the Indoor Camera closer to the router.
