Does the Outdoor Camera always have to be plugged in?

Yes, the Camera is entirely AC powered and needs to remain plugged in at all times.

The requirements for the Doorbell Camera are listed below:

- An outdoor electrical outlet within 15 feet of desired mounting location must be present; OR a cable hole to feed the power cable from the inside of your house to the inside
- Power drill for installation
- Wi-Fi network that supports a bandwidth of at least 2 Mbps upload speed per camera. Test your internet speed here
