Frontpoint Compliance – Police Won’t Go Jurisdictions Information

The following jurisdictions are “police won’t go,” meaning that if you have an alarm event prior to registering your system or obtaining an alarm permit, the police may not dispatch, and you could be subject to fines if they do. Please review your jurisdiction’s requirements closely and follow all instructions to complete the permit or registration process. Once you have registered your system or obtained an alarm permit, please notify us by emailing [email protected].

What May Be Required

Alachua County requires an alarm permit for burglar and fire alarms monitored to provide police response. The annual fee is $15.00 for a burglar alarm permit and $15.00 for a fire alarm permit. You may be subject to a fine if the police are dispatched to your home before your system is registered.

The Alachua County Sheriff's Department is required by law to collect fees for false alarms. You are provided with one free false alarm responses per year (beginning with the date of your registration). The second false alarm response will result in a fine of $25, the third and fourth are $50 each, the fifth and sixth are $100 each, and the seventh and eighth are $200 each. The ninth and each subsequent false alarm response will result in a fine of $400 per occurrence.

The City of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County are required by law to collect fees for false alarms. You are provided with two free false alarm responses per registration year. The third through the fifth false alarm will result in a fine of $50 for each, the sixth and seventh are $100 each, and the eighth and ninth are $250 each. The tenth and each subsequent false alarm will result in a fine of $500 per occurrence. Fines must be paid within thirty days to avoid disconnection of your alarm system.

There is a biennial fee of $50.00 for a residential alarm permit and $100.00 for a commercial alarm permit. The City of Cincinnati is required by law to collect fees for false alarms. You are provided with two free false alarm responses per year (beginning with the date of the first false alarm). The third false alarm response fee is $50, but may be waived with alarm school attendance. The fourth is $75, the fifth is $100, the sixth is $150, the seventh is $200, the eighth is $300, the ninth is $400, and the tenth is $500. Collier County is required by law to collect fees for false alarms. You are provided with two free false alarm responses per 180 day period. Three or four false alarms will result in a fine of $75 for each, the fifth and sixth are $100 each, and the seventh and eighth are $150 each. Nine or more will result in a $200 fine per occurrence.

The City of Colorado Springs is required by law to collect fees for false alarms. You are provided with one free false alarm response per registration year. The second false alarm will result in a fine of $30, the third is $75, and the fourth is $100. Upon the fourth false alarm your system may be suspended. The fifth and each subsequent false alarm will result in a fine of $200 per occurrence.

False Alarm Information

The City of Dallas is required by law to collect fees for false alarms, based on the number of false alarms per annual period. Residential customers are provided with three free false alarm responses. The fourth, fifth and sixth are $50 each, the seventh and eighth are $75 each and the ninth and each subsequent false alarm response is $100 per occurrence. Commercial customers are fined $100 for the first false alarm, $200 for the second, $300 for the third and $400 for each false alarm response thereafter. In addition, any false panic alarms will be fined at $100 each (residential or commercial).

The City and County of Denver is required by law to collect fees for false alarms. You are provided with five free false intrusion alarms. After the fifth false intrusion alarm, your permit will be suspended. There is a charge of $50 per false panic alarm response.

You may be subject to a fine if the police are dispatched to your home before your system is registered.

False Alarm Information

The City of Jacksonville and Duval County are required by law to collect fees for false alarms. You are provided with two free false alarm responses within the permit year. The third false alarm will result in a fine of $50 and increase by $50 with each subsequent false alarm through the sixth occurrence ($100 for 4th occurrence, $150 for 5th occurrence, etc.). Upon the seventh and each subsequent false alarm, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office will not respond to burglar alarm calls but will continue to respond to panic or robbery alarm calls and the alarm user will be charged $250.00 for each false alarm.

The annual fee is $25 for a residential permit and $35 for a commercial permit. You may be subject to a fine if the police are dispatched to your home before your system is registered.


Application Process

  1. A permit application must be completed online, please do so at https://www.crywolfservices.com/spokanewa/and click on Register Online.

  2. Fill out and submit the online application.

  3. The application asks for the following information about your alarm system:

***Monitored: Choose Rapid Response from menu

***Sold: Choose FrontPoint Security Solutions from menu

***Serviced: Choose FrontPoint Security Solutions from menu

***Installed by: Choose Other/Unknown from menu

Once you have completed this process, please email Frontpoint Compliance at [email protected] and provide any permit or registration numbers you were assigned.


False Alarm Information

The City of Spokane is required by law to collect fees for false alarms. For a residential false alarm the fine is $85 per occurrence, and the commercial false alarm fine is $165 per occurrence.

False Alarm Information

The City of Tulsa is required by law to collect fees for false alarms. You may have one false alarm response in any certificate year. If you have a second false alarm in a one-year period, you will be notified by mail, that the City of Tulsa will cancel your alarm certificate 10 days from the date of your letter.

The City of Walnut Creek is required by law to collect fees for false alarms. You are provided with two free false alarm responses per twelve-month period. The third false alarm will result in a fine of $100, the fourth is $110, and the fifth is $150. The sixth and each subsequent false alarm response will result in a fine of $175 per occurrence.
