Set up Rules in the Frontpoint app or website to automate your home- making it more intelligent and responsive to events that occur.
When configured, automatic events can be triggered by alarms, arming or disarming, sensor activity, or Smart Door Lock activity to control smart lights and plugs, smart locks, trigger camera recording, and run Scenes.
For inspiration to set up your own rules, a few customer favorites include...
Turning lights on or off when the Motion Sensor detects motion
Turning your lights on or recording a clip when a door is opened or closed
Locking the Smart Door Lock when arming, or unlocking the Smart Door Lock when disarming a system
Turning smart plugs on or off when an alarm is triggered
Setting a camera to record a clip when the system is disarmed to see who disarmed the system
Locking all of the Smart Locks in the home when one of them gets locked
Setting a specific camera to record when a specific sensor is activated, opened, or closed
Locking a Smart Lock when a door closes or unlocking a Smart Lock when a door opens

1) Log in to your account on the Frontpoint app.
2) Tap on Rules in the navigation menu
3) Select an existing rule to modify it or tap to create a new rule.
4) Tap Select to the right of "when" to select when the rule activates.
5) Tap on the device or event that will be used to trigger the rule - device options are determined by the equipment on your system.
6) Choose the action that will trigger the rule to start and then tap Done in the top right corner.
7) Tap Select to the right of "then" to select the action that will occur when the rule is triggered.
8) Tap on the device or event that will be used to trigger the rule - device options are determined by the equipment on your system.
9) Choose the action that will occur when the rule is triggered and then tap Done in the top right corner.
10) Tap Run at all times to select whether the rule will run all the time or at specific times and on certain days.
11) Enter a name for your rule.
12) Tap Save in the top right corner.
