Crash and Smash protection means that if your Control Panel is destroyed, the lack of any follow up signals after an event (such as a door opening, or a motion sensor activating) will trigger a notification to our monitoring station. For example, after a door is opened when the system is armed, we are expecting either a disarm signal, or an alarm signal to occur.

When neither a disarm or an alarm signal gets sent through to our monitoring station, we will treat it as a break in. We will reach out to your Pre-Dispatch Contact list and go through standard operating dispatch procedures.
