Perimeter Guard

Perimeter Guard™ functions as a smart intruder-deterrence, warding off approaching people or animals with loud beeps and a flashing LED upon detection.

Automatically triggered by the power of video analytics, Perimeter Guard™:

  • Emits a loud whistle or series of beeps

  • Flashes LEDs for a set duration (3–30 seconds)

  • Discourages intrusions before they escalate

The following Frontpoint cameras are compatible:

Indoor Camera

Perimeter Guard™ helps maintain privacy and safety indoors:

  • Whistles at pets when they climb onto restricted furniture like couches or tables

  • Plays loud beeps and flashes lights if someone enters a private area, such as a closet or gun safe

  • Adds an extra layer of protection against home intruders

  • Monitors open windows or doors—alerting you if an animal or person enters

Outdoor Cameras

With the Outdoor Camera, Perimeter Guard™ provides active outdoor monitoring and deterrence:

  • Startles intruders entering your property with sound and light cues

  • Whistles at wild animals like deer to keep them away from landscaping or gardens

Premium Floodlight Camera

In addition to the Outdoor Camera’s deterrence features, the Premium Floodlight Camera adds:

  • Bright 3000-lumen floodlights for maximum visibility and security

  • Customizable flashing lights and audible alerts

  • Wide-angle PIR motion detection (270° field of view, 25-ft range)

  • Three adjustable detection zones for precision monitoring

Smart-Intruder Deterrence in Action:

When a Video Analytics rule is triggered with Perimeter Guard™, the LED on the camera blinks red for a selected duration (3–30 sec), and a loud whistle or beep emits from the camera. The attention-grabbing noise and flashing light alerts visitors that they are on camera and can deter unwanted activity.

Having trouble?

If you cannot see "Activate Perimeter Guard" as an option in the Video Analytics Rule setup on your account, please make sure you are attempting to set it up with a compatible camera model:
